I don't consider myself unique in saying that paying 30-50$ for basic cable is a freaking Joke! The channel selection is awful, the picture quality is less than desirable, it may require an external tuner and have I mentioned yet that you pay 30-50$ A MONTH!!

It's about freaking time Sony finally supports MPEG-TS streams with audio. I've been using my PlayStation 3 for about the past 4 months to play HD content captured via MythTV. I was forced like many others to convert these MPEG-TS streams to the MPEG-PS format. While the conversion is close to loss less it always bugged me that I had to tamper with the original stream. MPEG-PS streams could also not be fast forwarded quicker than 1.5x before crashing.

Between 10:10pm - 10:20pm CST DynamicPulse.com and all affiliated websites and services were down last night 04/16/08. Email and supporting services such as virus scanning and DKIM were promptly restored at 10:24pm CST. Due to some recent modifications the websites didn’t automatically launch after the outage. This problem has been fixed and the website were back online at 11:42pm CST.

Teeworlds formally known as Teewars is a side scrolling first person shooter. A better description of the game can be found Here. I was sick and tired of not having an init script for the Teeworlds server so I ended up creating one. With the init script Teeworlds can be started/stoped/restarted using just a single command.

I recently performed a massive migration of an aging Qmail Mail Transfer Agent (MTA) to a supportable Postfix installation. This had been on my list of things to accomplish for well over a year. Here is a snapshot of what the old environment consisted of:

Teewars Little Cute Buggers with Guns is a fun fast paced side scrolling shooter. Teewars is small, fast and free. The binary including both the client and server is a whopping 3.5Meg. The game has three modes of play: death match, capture the flag, and team death match. I haven't had an opportunity to play capture the flag but it looks like a great time.

Well my comcast cable went out again this weekend. When the tech came out to my apartment to disconnect my cable TV he also removed my internet service. After 36+ hours of speaking with customer service and explaining myself to tech's my internet was restored.

While watching Revision3's DIY show systm I was inspired to create something myself. I'm not really good at hardware hacks and to be perfectly frank I don't enjoy the thought of electrocuting myself. So I created a simple script which pulls down a few "high def" podcasts from revision3's network(gigaom & tekzilla) .

Well we have been around for roughly 5 years now. It's time for a new start so I figured I could start with a new look. I've switched from an OLD wordpress engine to drupal.

I am really going to try to keep the content on the site new and up2date. I have started quite a few side projects in addition to my job which I will post as they are updated.
